I tried the brush on stuff for making my nails grow longer, stronger, faster and all I can do is LMFAO it didnt work just a waste of my money. Tried shampoo's claiming to make my hair grow faster to but the truth is your hair generally will only grow so fast no matter what you do. Sorry about that hair cut ive been butchered a few times myself
Reply:There's no QUICK way for hair to grow fast. Vitamins %26amp; Vitamin E are great for the hair, nails, %26amp; skin, but it doesn't guarantee you a rapid growth. Drinking plenty of water daily is great for your hair, nails, %26amp; skin.

I think you meant skin tag, which are also known as cutaneous papillomas or an acrochordons.
Skin tags are harmless, although they are sometimes irritated by clothing or jewelry. Why and how skin tags form is not entirely known, but there are correlations with age and obesity. They are more common in people with diabetes mellitus. It is estimated that by age 70, up to 59 percent of people have them. A genetic component (causation) is thought to exist.
Prior to the age of modern medicine, acrochordons were believed to be one sign of a witches' mark.

Reply:I have no clue,but just took my dog to the vet to have some removed, they were huge to, didn't know they could get that bad, but that's what the vet said our dog had. So apparently dogs can get them also, not saying that you are one. :)

I've developed a strange growth on my nose in the last few months. It occasionally bleeds, and seems to be growing. What could this be?

My mother has a melanoma on the side of her nose. It too looked strange and was a little dark. It was early stage melanoma and she elected to just have the cancer cells scraped instead of having half her nose removed.
You need to be evaluated and possibly have a biopsy to rule out cancer.

Different types of skin cancer are: basal cell, squamous cell and malignant melanoma.

1. If it is skin cancer, only a Lab can perform an analysis of the tissue samples. Skin cancer can range from Basil cell to Melanoma. Skin Cancer is the easiest to cure if diagnosed early.
There is out patient surgery or special creams to "Kill the Cancer Cells".
2. A physician can examine the Growth with a Special magnifier and determine if the "Growth" conforms to the size and pattern shape. Either way, the Physician will have a Biopsy performed.
Please do not hesitate seeking medical treatment for this situation.

Just as soon as the dermanotologist looked at it she said well it is not cancer. She froze it off and said good-bye to that one. She called it by name.
I don't mean to scare you but I had a friend who had a bump on his nose and went to the Dr. and he sent him to a dermatologist. End result half his nose was removed as the roots of the cancer were spreading.. He is alright, and so is my sister who had the same thing. The Doctor said it was her many years as a sun worshipper...It was cancer also...

Betta skin problem - white bump on body 3mm accross - HELP!?
Ive had my blue betta for a year and hes been totally happy and healthy. then one day i noticed a little white dot maybe 1mm accross on his body. now it has grown to about 3mm accross and distends a mill from his body. it looks like the scales are peeling away from the white bit. What is this? How can I fix it? At first I thought just white spot but there was only ever teh one spot?! He still is acting normally swimming around and eating fin waggling what is this growth thing!? HELP make him better!

Yuck he has ICK. You can buy a treatment over the counter at the pet store.

Ick is a parasite that infests fish if left alone it will reproduce and keep infecting it and there will be a bunch of white spots. Usually white bumps are a sign of ick but i'd have to see a photo to tell you for sure.
Reply:From the sounds of this you have what is called ICK go to the pet store and buy a bottle of this solution and treat the water. Wouldn't hurt to ask the pet store what else you have noticed about this fish just so they have a better picture of what you are trying to to cure.
Reply:3 mm is very large for a ich spot and ich doesn't cause scales to peal away or fall off. It sounds as if the fish has a skin parasite larger than ich or a bacterial infection. If the spot looks at all fuzzy or furry, it's a fungus and treatment is easy with stuff from the pet shop. If it's bacterial, look for treatments at the pet shop too, but don't hold your breath for a full recovery. A parasite that size on a beta would be diffucult to properly treat with a very poor chance of recovery. How long has the spot been there and how quickly did it grow? A fast growth rate (2-3 days) would almost certain indicate a bacteria or fungus which are the most likely answers.
Personally, I would treat for both bacteria and fungus and hope for the best.

Ich is many small white spots - looks like the fish has been rolling in sand.
This sounds like an abcess or a bacterial infection that is eating away his scales. Add a little aquarium salt (1/2 tsp per gallon, disolved first) to the water, and treat with maracyn and maracyn-2. Be sure to keep his water very clean, and very warm (around 80F) to ensure proper healing and to prevent a reccurence.

Anyone try the Hair, Skin, and Nail Vitamins at Dollar General?
I was hesitant to buy Dollar General brand vitamins, but I've tried a few other things of their's that are really good quality. I've been using these vitamins for a couple months. They're really helping my nails, I don't know about my hair. I've heard it can take some time to notice a difference in hair growth. I've read on a hair site I visit that several ppl have had good results with Ultra Nourishair (GNC). I like the DG, though, because they contain calcium - I take it as a multi, so I need a hair vitamin that contains calcium. They also contain a lot of other good stuff for hair - similar to the GNC vits. Anyone use these, and how long did it take you to notice results w/hair growth and condition (if you did).

i heard it was good! i use another brand that i found at sweetbay for biotin only. I was thinking about trying it because it has biotin as well as other minerals. I've been taking biotin and it took me about a couple months to notice results.

Another tip was to buy dollar store liquid fabric softener, and dilute it in a spray bottle with water, and it's the cheapest version of Febreze out there :)

You would be amazed at the very wealthy people, men and women, young and old, who shop the Dollar Store!! The products for the most part are excellent and much less expensive than elsewhere.
Still yet there are certain items, paper products, soaps, laundry products, feminine products, personal products, etc. that I buy only from the Dollar Stores.
