20 month old daughter has lumps under her skin behind both ears about an inch down and inch back?

I was wondering if anyone else has noticed this on their children, she has like 3 lumps under her skin on the neck muscles both sides behind her ears about an inch back and an inch down, I've heard of Calcium deposits, any one experience this with their children, or can anyone check to see if their children have this. Is it part of normal child growth?

My dear ...you are describing the area that has lymph nodes. I'd take that child to a doctor and be sure to mention this "lumps". Good luck and God Bless that child

I had the same thing but i was much older.


My doctor said that it was caused by stress check your doctor because mabry something is seriously making her uncomfortable mabey an illness. Is she crying a lot.Swollen lymph nodes.Simple treatment.
Reply:My son has one, and i always thought it was a cyst. It's not a normal thing to have lumps. Have a doctor look at them.

Reply:I'm a nurse. Sometimes babies and adults can become ill and their limp nodes can swell and become tender. If she cry when you touch it, I would take her to the doctor. I would take her in just to be on the safe side. It's hard to detect without viewing it for myself. I hope this is useful information. Take care.
Reply:both my young daughters have these lumps ages 1 and 4 , i was really worried about it when i discovered them when my girls were born i asked my health visitor and doctor and was told it could be swollen glands or a small cyst that should go away in time hope this helps although if worried you should ask your health visitor to reassure and put your mind to rest.

Maybe you should ask your Doctor, no one here can see them, so it would just be a WAG at best.
Reply:My son has this - (it's not a lymph node in his case). The doctor said it was nothing to worry about unless it grows, or more appear in other places. My spouse has this as well, so maybe it's genetic. In the case of my child, it has always been there. If your child just developed this, then I'd say lymph node - but in either case, it's better that a dr see it.
Reply:it could be the ( mumps ) "yes look it up in the dictionary, children get them sometimes" I had them when i was very young also" they "HERT"! there very sore"! children can run a fever with them to" "AND" there even more dangerus to male children" "because" they can drop to males "( testicles )"! there`s nothing you or a doctor can give them for it" it just has to run it`s course" like with colds" just try to keep them comfortable as posable and baby or childrens tylinal"! sometime you can get one, then latter on get the other one" but i think once you`ve had both, i don`t think you can get them again" at less that`s what i`ve heard.
Reply:Hey lymph nodes are swollen. Take her to her ped and show him. Chances are she has a minor sinus infection and so the nodes are working OT to fight it...
