Is hair ,skin, and nail growth really accelerated during pregnancy??

Yes, indeed. My hair has grown faster than it ever has and my nails grow superfast. If one breaks, it's back stronger than ever in less than a week. I think it's a combination of those hormones and the prenatal vitamins.

I think so, and may also have something do with the prenatal vitamins?
Reply:Yes, my hair grew twice as fast, and I was clipping my nails CONSTANTLY when I was pregnant... You body changes alot when your pregnant...
Reply:I don't think it is the pregnancy that does it, i believe that it is prenatal vitamines. So I was told when I asked why my hair seemed to be growing faster.
Reply:Yes, but it can also be accelerated by just taking prenatals. I think alot of the reason they grow faster during pregnancy is that the woman is taking prenatals and the vitamins are improving her mineral intake. I've heard of several people (men and women) that take a prenatal as a regular vitamin because its that much better for them. I've been taking them for a few months in preparation for a baby and I've already noticed mine growing, especially my nails.
