I have a painful growth under where my ring was, on my ring finger...could it be a wart? It's skin colored

It's skin colored, like a bump, the area surrounding it is red, and it hurts slightly. It's right under where my ring was. What is it and what can I do about it?

if your not allergic to the metal of the ring it might be a wart in that case:

Apple Cider Vinegar

2/11/2007: Kelli from Charleston, SC writes, "For some reason I had this wart growing on my thumb for a few months. It was embarrassing and ugly and I just wanted it to go away!!! Anyway, found this site and decided to try the Apple Cider vinegar. Seriously, IT WORKS!! It's REALLY weird writing this after just a few days, but I'm wearing a bandage on my thumb right now covering a completely healed wart. Tomorrow I'm going to start the banana peel treatment for 10-year old plantar's warts. I'll be checking in with the results. :)"

Remedy #1: Banana Peels

Didn't think the ol' banana peel had any uses, huh? Think again! It gets rid of warts and when toasted to a crisp, gives roses and other flowers a huge boost of potassium to help them flower. Gardeners swear by it!

How it works: Loads of potassium in the banana peel.

Recipe: Rub the inside of a little piece of a banana peel on a wart every night. You should see results within one to two weeks.
Reply:it is probably a callous that was irritated. See a doctor if it continues to hurt you.
Reply:it could be your husband bought you a cheap ring that wasn't real gold.. sometimes people have reactions to cheap jewelry..
