My good friends husband is on his death bed from skin cancer, have you?

ever heard of anyone, or anyone personally who had skin cancer that eventually spread to their brain?

It's very very sad.

He had a growth on his back, never checked it out until it was too late. it had spread to his lungs and months later reached to his brain unfortunately. This week he is on his death bed I was told.

Any comments on people who are familiar with this tragic situation? please share/I told her I'd post questions on here for her and deliver your answers,.thank you.

My best friend who was 21 at his time of death died with melanoma. Sadly, his cancer did spread to his brain, and he actually died from having pnuemonia.

He died shortly after the cancer went to his brain. It is a very sad, sad disease, and I am sorry that your friend is dealing with this.

BesT WisheS to you, your friend, and her husband... :(
Reply:yes my mother died as a result of skin cancer that did spread to her brian and soon there after she died.
Reply:Unfortunatly any kind of cancer can spread over time if you don't treat it quick enough...My grandpa had the same thing. but didn't get it checkout...It spread to his lungs...Sorry to hear about this tell her I'll say a prayer for her and her husband....God Bless
Reply:Cancer is an ugly thing. It is a sad story, because if he had it checked out while it was on his back, he'd probably be doing really well right now. Not including melanoma, skin cancer is one of the easiest to treat while it is still local. When it is not treated early, it can metastasize (spread) to other parts of the body. Basically, the cancer (immature skin cells) spread to various parts of the body, like the lungs, and begin to grow there as immature skin cells. So it's like he's got skin growing inside his lungs and brain. I'm so sorry for your friend.
Reply:I saw my cousin die on his deathbed of cancer %26amp; aids combined. :(
Reply:My Aunt ended up with brain cancer, the Dr said it had originated from skin cancer but they never determined where it had come from. The spot was so small it was undetectable because the smallest spot of skin cancer develops spores that grow like the root of a tree into the body. It was horrible towards the end she had a brain op but it was unsuccessful. My last vision of her alive was having the metal frame on her head to hold her skull in place. Until then I didn't realise how serious skin cancer is. It was under a year between her diagnosis and death. I wish you and your friend + husband all the best.
