What is this growth on my skin?

I have this red growth thing near my groin. At first I thought it was a mole but then it turned redder so i thought it was a blood blister. I stuck a needle in it and it bled for a very long time but didn't deflate. Since its by my groin it hasn't ever seen direct sunlight. What is it? Could it be cancerous? Thanks

If you are under thirty it is less likely to be a cancer, but still possible. Was it a mole that suddenly changed and bled? Is it a new growth as compared to something that was always there and suddenly changed?


Does it hurt with pressure? If it does it is probably some sort of an infection or ingrown hair. Is it a canker type lesion with a blistered open look? That could be an STD. Is it a wart that is just really pinkish red? HPV is common.


You do need to see a doctor. But it is very highly unlikely to be a cancer.
Reply:sounds like a boil or cyst.Go to the doctor to get it checked out and if you stuck something in it to break it you also risk an infection from breaking the skin.

Reply:Are you sexually active? It could be a symptom of an STD. I would go get it checked out.
Reply:You don't say if your sexualy active or not.My first guess would be it is a mole but it could also be a wart,cyst,sty or some other odd growth.How long have you had it and how quickly did it change?I advise checking with a doctor.
